TrackGlider™ Motion Control System: Introduction
TrackGlider™ is our flexible track system for residential and commercial applications. It can be purchased without motorization, but it can also be used with our remote control CurtainCloser™ motor systems.
There are many ways to use this flexibility:
- make it follow the path of a bay window
- use in hospitals and extended care facilities for bed privacy
- fabricate a circular path for retail displays
- create a wrap-around shower curtain
- straighten it out for conventional applications
This track has metal embedded inside the plastic, so it will hold its shape once you clamp it in place. It is shipped as a circular coil, so you can have really long continuous rails for anything that needs to slide a long way (up to 160 ft, 50 meters). The freight costs are also minimized due to the coil, instead of long pieces.
When motorized, it is also fully compatible with our optional Z-Wave group controller. You can use it with any native Zwave hub for voice control system such as Alexa or Google Home. Use it with automation hubs such as SmartThings, Hubitat, Vera, Wink, Homeseer, etc.

The double track section shown below the curved track can be used to operate both semi-transparent sheer and blackout curtains. We have dual track spacers that maintain a constant separation for curved track.
You can use nylon cord or bead chain to drive the system, keeping in mind that you are not lifting anything, only pulling curtains or drapery (or something else) along a track that usually has very low friction and motion resistance. We actually prefer nylon cord as it is quieter.
The radio controlled CurtainCloser™ sytem has a low power, very safe and energy efficient motor that runs on 12 volts DC and can be solar and/or battery powered. The 12v version also comes with a 110/220 AC power supply if you want to run the motors from grid power.
